I wish I knew every answer to every question I could possibly imagine. Of course the "Why are we here," and "What is my purpose," questions are a little to broad to answer, at least in this life. I do wish to help bring into the light the true lives of women, not only our interests, concerns, and dreams, but also the obstacles that are set in front of women at a very early age. By covering all aspects of women's lives from I love everything about nature and have been a jazz dancer for 8 years. Being in the water is the most peaceful place to be and love everything about fashion. Writing is my escape from the world and reading Henry James or Lord Tennyson brings me great joy. I am writing this blog to stretch my wings after graduating from college in the hope it will bring me great things. Wish me luck.... that's one, four more left!

Hello my loves! I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving! Even though I am a tad against Thanksgiving because the 2nd grade stories you learn aren’t really true, I think it is a good day to just eat and spend time with the ones you love, whether that be family, urban family, lovers, or co-workers. Today is about giving thanks for the privileged lives we live and we should recognize the truth about Native Americans having their lands taken away. Basically, don’t take anything for granted and be grateful for the life you have!
I’m dreaming in black and white! Wait, I’m not dreaming, I’m just seeing black and white in the season’s fashion trends wherever I go! Pairing black and white together can be as easy as a shirt, jeans, and boots. But there are ways to definitely spice up wearing a black and white ensemble!
Like the girls of the hit reality show The Hills, Audrina Patridge and Kristen Cavallari, wearing all black with a pop is a trendy way to not just be safe wearing all black. The white will draw the eye to that area, so make sure you are confident wearing a white piece. Like these two fashionista, pair a white tunic with a black motorcycle jacket, black jeans, and either black heels or boots. Simplicity is key for this look and you will look so chic!
Another great way to wear all black and white is to add a pop of color somewhere whether it bag, scarf, shoes or piece of jewelry. Usually an accessory is a great way to add color to this look and don’t be afraid of neon colors! They are so in right now! Try these great looks and you too will be dreaming in black and white!

Nail this! Add a little bling to your nails with no jewelry whatsoever! The latest trend in nail polish designs is to paint your nails a solid color then paint one of then with a sparkle nail polish! This usually needs to be done with a couple coat so it stand out but it is worth it! Play with colors as well: if you paint your nails purple, do silver glitter bling nails. If you do a bright pink, pick a pink sparkle polish to do one nail in. Experiment and don’t be afraid of color, you will love the one glitter nail!

With cool indie stylized songs, Florence Henderson took music to a whole new level with her deep sorrowful songs of morning contrasted with celebration and splendor. Many of her songs give a feel of inspirations from jazz, blues, and old folk songs such as “Shake it Out,” and “What the Water Gave Me.” Love and loss are intertwined in this composition of songs that describe the trials of relationships in this world and the next. Outdoing herself with her first album “Lungs,” Florence + The Machine has moved to expand her sound and style, one that is easily relatable that reaches across more then festive fields.

Die hard Disney fan and believe you are a princess at heart? Become the newest princess, Rapunzel from Disney’s Tangled! Just get a long blonde wig, or if you have long blonde hair, divide it into three separate sections, braid each section, then braid the braids together to form an intricate hair style. Grab some silk flowers and attach them all around with light bobby pins. Find a 3/4 sleeve light purple dress with purple flats and you are the lost princess with the magic golden hair!
Proud of your style and looking for an edgier costume, try being a Peacock like Audrina Patridge! If you don’t have the money to buy an actual peacock costume, just take an old black corset and sew on peacock feathers with black thread. Pair with a tulle skirt that you can either buy or make by tying pieces of tulle fabric to an elastic band. Sew on additional peacock feathers to you liking around the skirt or just on the back to finesse a tail. Up the sass with fishnet tights, black heels, and feathers pinned in your hair! Steal the show as the proud extravagant peacock!
If you want to get a little more creative, be a sudsy loofa or grab some friends to be a rock-paper-scissors trio! The loofa can be made with layers of tulle skirts like the one described above with a ribbon tied on to the center of the costume. To become the rock-paper-scissors just go to Office Depot or Staples for some large poster size paper. Pair with a matching mini dress and heels and you are ready to starts solve some problems one battle at a time!
